What we teach

We love reading and studying the Bible together as a church family!

We believe that the Bible is a gift from God - His words for us, written down over thousands of years by a collection of ordinary people from many different walks of life whom God chose and used for this incredible job. We also believe that the Bible is true - it’s not a collection of myths or folk stories. It tells about things that actually happened and about people who actually lived, and about what life is like when people live life with God.

Most importantly, we believe that the Bible tells us about God, and shows us what he is like. It’s through the words of the Bible that we read about Jesus, who he is, what he did for us, and what difference that makes in our lives now (if you want to know more about that, have a look at our 'What is a Christian' page).

There are many ways that we make time together to look at God’s word, including our Sunday morning gatherings and midweek connect groups.

Below are a few examples from our Sunday morning talks that will help give you a flavour of what our teaching is like.
