Christmas should be a time of celebration, a time for people to enjoy food together, give presents and relax. However, this year more than ever, many families find themselves in financial crisis and have little to look forward to over the Christmas holidays. The good news is that we have an opportunity to help bring some hope and joy into these homes!
Bradford North’s Foodbank is looking to collect the following items, by Thursday 03 December, to include in Christmas Hampers.
Tinned Ham or Chicken, Christmas Pudding (non-alcoholic), Tinned Cream or Evaporated Milk, Christmas Cake, Mince Pies, Box of Biscuits, Children’s Selection Pack, Bar/Box of Chocolates, Savoury snacks and nibbles and Soft fizzy drinks or fruit squash
These can be dropped off in the collection points at Asda (Shipley) or Co-Op (Shipley) or dropped off at the home of Joanna Sulc. Please visit Bradford North Foodbank’s website for more information on other ways to help.
In Keighley, the Salvation Army has also launched a Christmas appeal, for the above items, plus some others.
Tinned Puddings, Gravy granules, Custard, Stuffing Mix, Hot Chocolate, Toiletries for men, women and children, Christmas Crackers and New toys, books and games for children aged 0-16
These can be delivered to the collection points in Sainsburys or Morrisons, or to the home of the Priors by Tuesday 08 December. Please visit Bradford North Foodbank’s website for more information on other ways to help.
Kindly ensure that any best before dates are after Christmas. Many thanks!
