Airedale

Welcome to City Valley Airedale

City Valley Airedale is a church family of all ages who want to see the name of Jesus made known in the Aire Valley. We feel called by God to be a shining light right across Eastburn, Steeton, Silsden and beyond – living our lives as a witness to the good news of Jesus Christ.

We are intentional about being actively involved in our community, making friends and sharing God’s love with those we meet. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, returning to church or looking for a place you can call home we would love to get to know you.

Sundays

We meet together in Eastburn Primary School 3 out of 4 Sundays, 10:30am - 12noon (with drinks served from 10:15am). Our time together is relaxed and family-friendly, starting with a time of worship followed by teaching from the Bible as well as sharing what God has been doing in our lives. Children go out part way through the service for their own time of games, crafts and exploring the Bible together.

One Sunday a month is an all-age service followed by a meal which gives us a chance to enjoy being family together, worshipping and sharing communion.

We dedicate one Sunday a month to actively caring for our area and the places where we live through various community focused projects and local activities.

Children and Youth

Airedale Kids meets alongside our regular services for an action-packed hour of games, crafts, Bible stories and lots of fun! Our kids sessions are aimed at ages 3-12 but smaller ones are welcome too with lots of toys to keep them busy. We love having new children join us!

Airedale Youth (11-16s) meets fortnightly on Zoom on Sunday evenings, 7-8pm for games and to chat about life, faith, God and the Bible. We also get together each half term for social activities.

Caring for our community

We love our community and look to serve and bless the local area and Eastburn school in whatever ways we can. We run monthly Community Sundays where we do community events such as an Easter Trail, litter picking, Christmas events, picnics and walks. We also partner with other local churches to send teams into local nursing homes to run services for residents and staff.

We want to be a place where people feel they can come to when they are in need, whether that be financial, spiritual or social. We are registered as advocates for Acts435, a charity connecting those who want to give with those who are in need of financial support.

Connect groups

We have three Connect Groups meeting in Keighley, Silsden and Skipton at various times during the month. Each group has it’s own personality and includes Bible study, discussion, worship and testimony sharing, encouraging each other with what God has been doing in our lives. If you'd like to find out more about our Connect Groups please get in touch on the contact page.

Talks

During our times together we open the Bible and hear practical teaching from God’s word to us. Our teaching focuses on the life that can be found in Jesus Christ and the outworking of that in our day to day lives.
